First time I flew, we went from Perth to Brisbane (think LA to NY) with connections in both Melbourne and Sydney.

I'm not sure what it was, but I started throwing up about half an hour into the first flight and didn't stop until we got to Melbourne 4 1/2 hours later. Spent the 2 hour layover in the men's room until we were called to board the next flight.

The flight from Melbourne to Sydney was no better, though at least considerably shorter. Made it on the ground in Sydney with only minutes to make the connection to Brisbane. Had to stop while runnig between gates for another hurl.

Didn't even make it off the tarmac in Sydney before I was filling those little paper bags (Why is it that Australian airlines insist on printing film processing offers on the sides of the bags?)

10 1/2 hours after leaving home we were finally on solid ground. I'd never been happier...
